Like many other composers, Ray Guntrip, pianist and band leader of his seven piece band, whose performances draw on a number of styles and traditions in creating a fresh, distinctive sound conjured up by his musical ideas and arrangements and not least by the musicians he chooses to work with, such as John Worthington, soprano sax; John Rangecroft, tenor sax; Dave Harvey, alto sax; Steve Botting, trombone; Roberto Bellatala, double bass; and Tony Bianco, drums.
