Leonie Parker is a UK singer songwriter, artiste, who was raised and bred on listening to the soul artistes from her fathers collection of soul records.

Leonie Parker’s influences comes from a vast range of artistes, such as Aretha Franklin, Billie Holiday, Dinah Washington, Roberta Flack, Etta James, Esther Phillips, Ruth Brown, Nina Simone, to name but just a few, to contemporary artistes such as Amy @gmail.comWinehouse, Duffy, Chaka Kahn, etc, to many more of unmentioned established soul artistes from many earlier years of her life, which have clearly had an impact on the and style of Leonie’s performances and of of the recording of Leonie Parker’s 12 track “Soul and Heal” album.

Leonie Parker not only as an accomplished soul singer in her own right, but as an accomplished songwriter who penned all the songs on the “Soul and Heal” album, released on the Digimix Records label in England, UK and available on all internet download sites worldwide

The album opens up with ‘Still You Don’t Call Me’ an infectious catchy track, moving into “ a memorable “Get Your Love Kicks” then into “The River” which took the top spot on the soul charts in the UK. Moving onto “Fool for your Loving” a song of losing love, then comes “Even if my love is Hot” it’s a song of I’ve got it all but you’re not interested.

Then, “Why don’t you love my Love” again a song of I’ve got it all but you’re not interested, which has a contemporary feel to it, loved by so many,

“Silly Love Games” is a remix of one of Leonie Parker’s previous singles, receiving many plays on British and European radio stations

“Come on Home” a heartbreak ballad of frightened lost or losing love. A classic ballad, Come On Home’ has made an impact on listeners, is one of the stand out tracks on the album.

Upbeat to get your toes tapping is “My Love is gonna Get You” a track of requited love with a flavour of Tamla Motown productions.

“What Do I Know”. Then into the song “Am I Losing You” reminiscent of breakdown in relationships.

Finally the album ends with, “All the people all the Time” an upbeat song about the world losing its way, politicians we can’t trust, about making a brand new start, seems like now the whole world is on its take, sadness we gotta find a better way.

Credit to producer Geoff Waddington for finding and developing Leonie Parker, for a great production evoking the days of Northern Soul clubs if the 1960’s/70’s in the UK, like The Crooked Wheel in Manchester and the Wigan Casino in Wigan.

Leonie Parker’s songwriting and performances in this “soul and Heal” album release, along with the accomplished productions of producer Geoff Waddington, represent some the best of modern British soul, giving the listener that nostalgic flavour and listening experience of great soul from the 1960’s/70’s onwards. A classic nostalgic production by producer Geoff Waddington and performances by Leonie Parker.
